Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms govern use of Cruise-Ship.info, an English-language cruise review website and community for sharing advice, helping fellow passengers and arranging onboard meetups.

1. Publisher and contact

Cruise-Ship.info is published by Helpoffice, SA, registered under SIRET 91819176800012, with its registered office at 1270 Route de Trets, 83910 Pourrières (Var), France. Helpoffice is responsible for the personal-data processing described in our Privacy Policy.

Publication director: Kamel Belgacem. You can write to Helpoffice at the address above, marked “Cruise-Ship.info — Privacy / Support”, or contact Kamel Belgacem on LinkedIn or the official Okcroisiere LinkedIn page. Do not post private account details in a public LinkedIn comment.

Kamel Belgacem has been passionate about cruising for more than twenty years and has worked at Expedia and a Marseille-based tour operator. He shares his knowledge through detailed ship descriptions, editorial reviews and free port and travel guides to help passengers prepare their journeys. Editorial assessments and members' reviews are distinct contributions.

2. What the service provides

You can read ship guides and reviews, create a profile, contribute experiences and questions, connect with other members and arrange meetups. Account creation and the community features currently offered are free. Any future paid service would be presented with its own price and applicable terms before purchase.

Cruise-Ship.info is not a cruise line and does not organise or operate the sailings described on the site. Information and member recommendations do not constitute a booking confirmation or a guarantee from a cruise operator. Check current facilities, prices, accessibility arrangements, itineraries and travel requirements with the relevant operator before relying on them.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Provide accurate account information, use an email address or Google account you control and keep your access credentials secure. Do not impersonate someone else or use another person's account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may register with a verified email address or an eligible Google account. Google sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail inbox. A new member must accept these terms and the community guidelines before account creation. Google authorisation alone does not create a member account. You can find details of the information used in our Privacy Policy.

You must have legal capacity to use the service. If you are a minor, involve your parent or legal guardian and obtain any permission required by the law applicable to you. Do not use the service where doing so would breach that law.

4. Your contributions

Publish honest reviews and clearly distinguish personal experience from opinions or information obtained elsewhere. You are responsible for the content you submit and for having permission to share photographs, text and other material. Respect other people's privacy and intellectual-property rights.

You retain ownership of your contributions. By submitting content, you grant Helpoffice a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, format and display it, worldwide as necessary to operate and present the website and its community features. This permission is limited to those purposes; it does not transfer ownership or authorise unrelated advertising use. It ends when the content is removed, subject to necessary technical backups and lawful retention.

Do not post unlawful content, threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, spam, misleading commercial promotions or another person's confidential information. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service or collect member information without a lawful basis. The community guidelines form part of these terms.

5. Meetups and interactions with other members

Members organise their own meetups. A listing is not a reservation, a service sold by Helpoffice or a guarantee of attendance or identity. Organisers should provide accurate details and update or cancel a listing when plans change.

Use your judgment when interacting with people you have not met. Prefer public onboard locations, respect ship rules and crew instructions, and do not disclose cabin access details or financial information. For emergencies or immediate safety concerns, contact the ship's crew or the appropriate emergency service; this website is not an emergency-response service.

6. Moderation and reports

We may review, restrict or remove content and suspend or close accounts where necessary to address breaches of these terms, unlawful conduct, security issues or legal obligations. Measures should be proportionate to the issue. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us about a decision.

Use the reporting controls where available or contact Helpoffice. Include the relevant page or content URL, explain the issue and provide a way to reply. You can also contact us to dispute a moderation decision. Do not publish sensitive evidence in a public comment.

7. Editorial material and external services

Our own editorial material, design and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may link to pages and make uses permitted by law. Other reproduction or redistribution requires the right holder's permission. Cruise-line names, trademarks and third-party photographs remain the property of their respective owners.

External links, Google sign-in, embedded content and ship-position services are provided by third parties under their own terms. Ship positions may be delayed or unavailable and must not be used for navigation or safety decisions. A link or a mention does not by itself imply endorsement or affiliation.

8. Availability and responsibility

We take reasonable care to operate the service and maintain useful information, but errors, changes and interruptions can occur. We may temporarily interrupt features for maintenance or security. Contact us if you find inaccurate content or a malfunction.

Each party remains responsible for its own conduct under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes mandatory consumer rights or prevents remedies available under applicable law. Member opinions are their own; this does not remove Helpoffice's legal duties concerning reported or unlawful content.

9. Leaving the service and changes to the terms

You may stop using the service and request deletion through Manage my account, or contact us if you cannot access your account. The deletion process and necessary retention are explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. We will show the revision date and notify you of material changes by an appropriate means. Changes will not remove rights already acquired; where renewed acceptance is required, we will ask for it.

10. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections under the law of their country of habitual residence where applicable. Please contact Helpoffice first so that we can try to resolve a concern. Courts and other dispute-resolution rights are determined by applicable law; these terms do not impose exclusive jurisdiction contrary to your statutory rights.
